The Amplified Movement, a music project that addresses abuses children face, will on Saturday embark on a road tour in Nkhotakota district.

The tour, to be held at Nkhotakota LEA in the area of Malengachanzi Traditional Authority and at Kasangadzi Primary School in Traditional Authority Mwansambo's Area will engage renowned local artist Skeffa Chimoto who will raise awareness with performances.

The project which stems from the goal of amplifying children voices through participation touches on four key areas which are youth economic empowerment, education, forced and child marriages and child trafficking.

On Friday, Timveni Child and Youth Media Organization engaged various stakeholders in the lead up to the music shows.

Amplified started in 2016 and it is a three year project.

Last year, numerous artists including Janta, Faith Mussa, Suffix, KBG, Kim of Diamonds and Rina came up with audio and video songs highlighting messages of child abuse.

The Ntchisi Organization for Youth and Development which operates in the two targeted areas says since 2015, it has managed to rescue more than four hundred girls from child marriages.
