The Chancellor College Academic Staff Union has called on university management to resolve the current staff strike with urgency.
The call comes few days after the union held a closed meeting with the management to map the way forward.
According to the union, there is still no ray of hope for the staff who are demanding a forty percent salary increment.
In an interview on Wednesday, President of Chancellor College Academic Staff Union Anthony Gunde says report by an arbitrator Senior Counsel Modekayi Msiska clearly indicates that there is a disparity in salary arrangements among lecturers from one institution to another despite operating under the same grades.
The College failed to open on Monday this week after lecturers announced an indefinite strike on the same.
Meanwhile, students have also threatened to take unspecified action if management does not put the matter to rest by the end of this week.
