The Superleague of Malawi (Sulom) says it believes that the re-opening of Kamuzu Stadium will greatly improve gate collections.
The development comes after the body earned K281m from the first round surpassing last year's figure by K30m, translating into a growth of 12 percent.
Last year's gate revenue in the first round was K250.5m and Sulom is optimistic that they will hit the K300m target set in the second round.
Sulom Treasure General Tiya Somba Banda said he is encouraged with the first round figure which is more than half of K500m target.
"I should say here that we are now moving in the right direction on these gate collections," Somba Banda said.
