William Gobede, a Nyasa Big Bullets fan based in Zomba who works as a foreman in the construction industry has become the fourth winner of a motorbike prize in the Zampira promotion being run by TNM Plc for Super League of Malawi.
The fourth monthly draw took place at the company's headquarters in Blantyre on Tuesday.
Gobede emerged the lucky winner of the monthly grand prize of a brand-new motorbike after predicting correctly a game between Be forward Wanderers and Tigers FC which ended 1-0 in favour of the Nomads.
"I am very happy to win this motorbike in this promotion.
"This big prize will ease transport challenges that I was facing in my course of work," said Gobede.
Speaking after the draw, TNM's Head of Marketing Sobhuza Ngwenya said they are impressed with the performance in terms of numbers participation and reminded soccer fans to continue taking part in the Zampira Promotion.
"We are impressed with the figures as they are beyond our expectations. Our projections were much lower than what is coming up and we are hopeful that we will exceed the expectations in terms of participation in this promotion.
"Throughout second round of the season, TNM will continue giving out airtime, motorbikes and at the end the grand prize of K1.5m to soccer lovers. This is all because we consider soccer fans as an important stakeholder in its effort to develop football standards in Malawi," said Ngwenya.
During the fourth draw of the month, Zampira Promotion registered a total of 123,024 entries with 8,102 entering into the pot of correct predictions representing a 6.5 percent correct rate.
The promotion was launched on April 26, 2018 with an aim of engaging soccer fans directly through sending predictions of selected weekly TNM Superleague games results.
To participate, simply predict the results by sending an sms to 1515 to enter and stand a chance of winning prizes.
