Government has admitted facing glitches in the implementation of the community technical colleges.
Minister of labor, youth, sports, and manpower development Francis Kasaila said this when he was commenting on reports that a lot of young people who graduated from the program last year are still staying idle.
When the program was rolling out last year, government pledged to support the graduating students with start-up capital in form of tools and equipment.
However a year later, the students who graduated in the first cohort are complaining that government has not lived to its pledge.
Commenting on the issue Kasaila said such reports are expected in a big initiative like the one in question for the fact that it is being implemented across the country.
Meanwhile, Kasaila who is also the government Democratic Progressive Party Spokesperson, said the party is satisfied with a number projects that have been implemented so far, and it is optimistic that will accomplish most of the programs with guidance of its 2014 manifesto.
