The high Court  in Lilongwe has resumed hearing a case of former Minister of Home Affairs and Internal Security Uladi Mussa who is answering charges of aiding foreign nationals to illegally obtain citizenship.

Mussa who is also former people’s party acting president is alleged to have committed the offence when he was a cabinet minister under Joyce Banda regime.

He was arrested last year by the ant-corruption bureau on charges of negligence and abuse of office after handing himself over to the ACB.

On Thursday Mussa failed to appear before the court because he was in Mangochi attending a funeral.
