King Letsie the third of Lesotho has called for nutrition-sensitive agriculture in a bid to end malnutrition in Malawi.
King Letsie said this during a media conference in Lilongwe at the end of a four-day visit to Malawi as Food and Agriculture Organization Nutrition Ambassador.
He said stakeholders must prioritize crops that help the citizenry achieve a nutritious diet.
The added cooperation among various players is instrumental for Malawi achieving a malnutrition free nation.
King Letsie said the visit has given him a better perspective in championing Nutrition within Africa and worldwide.
In his remarks, Minister of Health Atupele Muluzi said the monarch’s visit has motivated stakeholders that the country is on right track to ending malnutrition by 2025.
