The New Independent Academic Examinations Council says majority of stakeholders are calling for re-introduction of the Junior Certificate of Education Examinations.
This has been revealed on Thursday in Lilongwe where the organization presented findings of the research conducted in twenty-four of the twenty-nine districts across the country.
Government announced it would not administer JCE Exams beginning the forth coming academic year as one of its public service reforms.
Speaking in an interview with Newsline Director for the New Independent Academic Examinations Council Filesi Kachingwe said the research has showed that Ninety-six percent of stakeholders consulted are in favor of bringing back the JCE examinations.
Representatives of Malawi National Examinations Board—Maneb were not present at the meeting despite being invited.
