Lilongwe giants Silver Strikers and Civil Sporting Club have forced Blantyre giants Nyasa Big Bullets and Be Forward Wanderers to drop two points on their respective matches.

Silver Strikers played against Nyasa Big Bullets at Kalulu Stadium where Mathews Sibale scored before Nyasa Bullets equalized through Nelson Kangunje.

At Balaka Stadium, the league leaders missed a lot of chances but it was Jafalie Chande who put Nomads ahead, a late goal from Righteous Banda helped Civil Sporting Club to go home with four points after a 3-1 win over Blantyre United on Saturday.

It seemed Lilongwe big teams have done better this season comparing to the big name teams from southern region as Civil Sporting Club Managed to beat  Be forward Wanderers  2-0 in the first round while Silver Strikers beat Nyasa Big Bullets 3-1 in first round.

Be forward Wanderers are still on top of the table with 59 points while Nyasa Big Bullets are on second with a single point making the difference between the two teams.

In the relegation zone, it is now confirmed that Chitipa United and Blantyre United will play in their region leagues respectively.

Wizards’ maximum points to wind up the league are 32 and Masters Security services are 43.

Masters Security is looking for six points from the remaining five games to survive the chop while Wizards must win all their remaining games and at the same time hoping for Masters Security to drop all the points.

Red Lions and Dwangwa United are out of danger zone following their victories in the just ended weekend.

As it is, next season, central region will have 8 teams, southern region 5 teams and Northern region will have 3.
