The Parliamentary Committee on Media and Communications says it will soon embark on awareness campaign to sensitize the masses on the Access to Information—ATI Act.
Chairperson of the Committee Sam Kawale said this after the Malawi Human Rights Commission disclosed that at the moment the law cannot be enforced until some issues are looked into.
According to Kawale, there are a lot of issues that need to be clarified to the general public before enforcing the law.
According to Kawale, the Ministry of Civic Education is processing logistical arrangements to commence with the program.
In a recent interview the Malawi Human Rights Commission –assured the general public that implementation of the access to information act will roll out into action once all process is finalised.
