The Malawi Police Service has expressed concern over increased cases of theft by false pretence in the country.
A Press statement signed by National Police Spokesperson James Kadadzera says the law enforcers have noted with worry that such cases continue rising despite a number of intervention.
The statement comes days after the arrest of a Malawi Defense Forces soldier from Cobbe Barracks on charges of soliciting money from youths in Karonga saying he would offer them employment.
In Dowa the law enforcers also arrested two men for similar offences.
Meanwhile the law enforcers have warned to take swift action to bring to book those involved.
