We Care embarks on Peer Power project in Neno

In a quest to address issues affecting adolescents living with HIV/AIDS, a local non-governmental has embarked on an eighteen month project to ensure young voices are being heard.

Lilongwe-based We Care Youth Organization is currently implementing the project dubbed ‘Peer Power’ at Ligowe and Zalewa health centers in Neno district.

Speaking to Newsline, We Care Organization Chief Executive Officer Blessings Banda said the catchment areas were identified for having high numbers of people living with HIV with very little delivery in access to information.

Banda said the organization will be working with fellow adolescents living with HIV to have knowledge about positive thinking and sexual reproduction health.

The Peer Power Project is being supported by International AIDS Society and will be championed by We Care Youth Friendly HIV Services Champion Grace Ngulube.

We Care is a charitable organization that focuses on supporting vulnerable children in education, health and information.
