UNC TOUTS NEW COVID VAX UNDER DEVELOPMENT

The University of North Carolina (UNC) Biomedical Research Institution of Malawi has revealed that it is conducting a research on a new COVID-19 vaccine. 

The information was disclosed by UNC Country Director, Innocent Mofolo, during an interface meeting with the media on Wednesday in Lilongwe. 

Speaking during the meeting, Mofolo said it is necessary to do another research since the current Covid-19 vaccines were developed in a hurry.

Mofolo said research on vaccines never ceases as it brings new approaches of dealing with diseases. 

According to Mofolo, the research gives hope that the new vaccine can surpass the present ones in terms of effectiveness.

On this note, Mofolo says the research will also assist in coming up with new technologies to deal with the pandemic.
