 300 THOUSAND CHILDREN TO BENEFIT THROUGH NATURAL REGENERATION INITIATIVE

About 300 thousand children have been targeted to benefit through the natural regeneration initiative in the areas of Traditional Authority Mazengera and Chitekwere in Lilongwe.

This was said on Tuesday in Lilongwe during the signing ceremony of the Forest Management Plan which the two T/As signed.

Speaking during the ceremony, Lilongwe District Forest Officer Margaret Kawalewale said the initiative is paramount towards addressing deforestation.

She said her office will continue to collaborate with the organization in raising awareness on the importance of forest management.

Harold Munthali who is World Vision Programs Manager for Lilongwe said the initiative will benefit young people and children.
