ACB CHALLENGES COUNCILS TO STOP ABUSING PUBLIC RESOURCES

Amid growing concerns about plunder of public resources in district and city councils, the Anti-Corruption Bureau has challenged authorities to desist from abusing dev elopment funds.
ACB’s Senior Public Education Officer Jonathan Chisale said duty bearers must strive to end corrupt acts to ensure the country maximizes its development potential.
Chisale has also stressed the general public has a great role in safeguarding public resources by reporting officials involved in mismanagement of funds.
He was speaking during an orientation workshop on fighting corruption that the ACB organized for officials from Lilongwe City Council and Salima District Council.
