ACTIVIST PUSHES FOR YOUTH FRIENDLY 2021/2022 NATION BUDGET

As pre-budget consultations are in progress, youth activist Lucky Mbewe has advised government to come up with a strategic plan to ensure youth development is prioritised in the 2021/2022 National Budget,.
In an interview with Timveni, Mbewe said, "It is important for the Tonse administration to admit failure to meet campaign promises targeting youths."
Mbewe said government is yet to deliver the much touted one million jobs and the country has instead registered more job cuts.
"Government now has opportunity to incorporate youth empowerment programs in the forthcoming budget." said Mbewe.
He has tipped authorities to invest in technical skills to help create jobs.
He further called for increased budgetary allocation for the National Economic Empowerment Fund (NEEF) Limitedin a drive to promote entrepreneurship.
