The Catholic Commission for Justice and Peace (CCJP) Dedza Diocese has taken government to task to honor a pledge to arrest men behind teen pregnancies in the district. 

This follows a promise by Dedza District Gender Office to bring to justice men who impregnated about a thousand girls during the Covid-19 school break. 

According to Dedza Police Spokesperson Edward Kabango, arrests are yet to be effected. 

Speaking to Timveni, CCJP Programs Officer for Dedza Diocese Horace Kasudze said the situation is very worrisome.

Kasudze has challenged government to prosecute all men responsible for the teen pregnancies.
