AUTHORITIES URGED TO CREATE SAFE SPACE FOR GBV DISCUSSION

One  of the child rights activists Mbumba Kubwalo has urged authorities to create special sessions on gender based violence in churches and other platforms.

In an interview with Timveni, Kubwalo claimed that some people are still in the dark on gender based violence.

According to Kubwalo, there is need to utilize all platforms of gatherings and avenues to provide strong messages on the dangers of gender based violence.

She said it is very unfortunate that some people have lost lives due to GBV which should have been avoided.

Kubwalo further indicated that increasing awareness campaigns is paramount towards ending gender based violence.
