BELIEFS GET IN THE WAY OF THE FIGHT AGAINST CHOLERA OUTBREAK

Light House Trust has bemoaned some religious beliefs restricting believers from receiving Cholera treatment and vaccination.

Executive Director for the organization, Safari Mbewe, said this on Thursday when donating various supplies towards cholera response at Lilongwe District Health Office worth MWK17 Million.

According to Mbewe, the donation is in response to the call by the Presidential Taskforce on Covid-19 and Cholera, asking various organizations to assist the fight.

He said Light House Trust is also supporting other district health facilities with Cholera supplies in a drive to contain the disease.
