The minister of Forestry and Natural Resources Nancy Tembo has asked Blantyre Water Board to commit itself towards improving service delivery to grow its clientele.
Tembo made the remarks on Monday during the launch of water utility body’s 2020-2025 Strategic Plan.
The 5-year plan will serve as a framework to guide the board in addressing current critical issues and prioritizing initiatives that will transform its operations.
In her remarks Tembo said the board should work hand in hand with stakeholders to effectively implement the strategic plan.
The Minister further called upon the public to report any illegal connections and vandalism activities to the police.
In his remarks Blantyre Water Board Chairperson George Nnesa said the launch of the strategy will go a long way in addressing many challenges affecting its operations.
