CAUCUS COMMITS TO IMPROVING WASH

Parliamentary Caucus on water, sanitation and hygiene, Champions for Change, has urged authorities to take a transformative approach towards improving water, sanitation and hygiene services in the country.

First Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Madalitso Kazombo, has said this in an interview with Timveni. 

According to Kazombo, it is unfortunate that in this era people in the communities are still struggling to access clean, safe and potable water.

He said the caucus will strive to ensure that councils are allocated adequate resources for initiatives focusing on water, sanitation and hygiene.

Kazombo added that investment in Water Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) is key to achieving Sustainable Development Goal Number 6.
