The Centre for Research and Development Initiative (CERADI) has encouraged communities around Mkweta Village, Senior Chief Kalembo in Balaka district to report cases of Gender Based Violence (GBV) in the country.
The Programs Manager for CERADI, Florida Malamba Banda has told Timveni online that the Organization is committed to complementing government efforts on ending GBV.
CERAD has established committees for men and women to be champions of change in advocating for gender equality.
Banda appealed to the committees to collaborate with traditional leaders and the police to sensitize communities on the need to end GBV and promote equality in their localities.
