The Mental Health Users and Cares Association says the Covid-19 pandemic is also contributing to mental health related diseases in the country.
Executive director for the association Thandiwe Mkandawire disclosed this in an interview with Timveni.
According to Mkandawire the increase of Covid-19 cases and deaths is causing panic, stress and depression among many Malawians.
She said currently the association is planning to conduct online awareness campaigns to prevent people from suffering mental health related diseases.
Mkandawire added that the association is also willing to work and engage with young people on the same.
