SUICIDE CASES SPIKE IN FIRST QUARTER OF 2023, MEN MOST AFFECTED
DODMA ASKS FLOOD SURVIVORS TO RETURN HOME

The Department of Disaster Management Affairs (DODMA) has appealed to flood survivors still in camps to move back to their places for reconstruction of their damaged homes and fields.
Director for Response and Recovery at DODMA, Reverend Moses Chimphepo, disclosed this yesterday in Nsanje after engaging the flood victims of the areas of Senior Chief Tengani and Mbenje respectively, on the same.
In an interview with Timveni after touring the camps, Chimphepo said the survivors cannot stay in camps forever hence need to go back to respective places for a better life.
During the tour, DODMA donated assorted food items to over 2,000 households a support they got from the United Arab Emirates.
