Action Aid has called on government to act with speed in review process of double taxation agreements Malawi strikes with other nations.
The organization says such deals are costing Malawi an annual amount Eighty-Seven Million US Dollars.
Action Aid Program Specialist for Accountability and Public Services Yandura Chipeta denounced the agreements arguing the country’s development is bearing the price.
Addressing the media in Dowa district, Chipeta urged journalists to promote tax justice through extensive reporting on the matter.
