DPP CALLS FOR PEACE IN THE FORTHCOMING BY-ELECTIONS

The opposition Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) has called for peace ahead of, during, and after the November By-election in Karonga Central Constituency.
Particularly, DPP National Director of Logistics Symon Vuwa Kaunda made mention of the important role youths have in the election.
Speaking during a political rally at Chiwondo school ground aimed at drumming up support for the DPP candidate Ernest Mwalughali, Kaunda said socio-economic development rests on availability of peace.
The call follows violence that erupted over the weekend which saw a UTM party supporter being seriously injured.
According to Kaunda, people should vote for the DPP candidate as the party has vast experience in running government affairs after thirteen years of power.
