FRIENDS OF ADZIWA SUPPORT UNDERPRIVILEGED CHILDREN WITH FREE HEALTH SERVICES

By Wyclif Fortune Chigaga

Underprivileged children have the opportunity to have their body examined for free following the coming in of the Friends of Adziwa from America and other countries.

The charity group is in the country for 5 days and has mounted a medical camp at Adziwa Christian school campus at Kauma in Lilongwe’s area 12.

The group is comprised of professional doctors, nurses, athletes and media team.

The group’s team leader Emily Wright says the program which started in 2016 was affected by the Covid-19 pandemic as they failed to reach out to areas where children are in need of their services.

According to Wright, Friends of Adziwa and the team of Professional Doctors visit the children every 2 years.

Dr Isaac Chirwa is head of the Health Ministry at Adziwa Christian School and says those children which have serious problems are referred to recommended hospitals and the Adziwa foot all the bills.
