Authorities in Dedza district have been asked to intensify efforts aimed at addressing challenges facing children with disabilities in attaining education.
Presidential Advisor on Albinism and Disability Overstone Kondowe said such children are having their studies disrupted due to numerous obstacles including lack of school fees and learning and writing materials.
Kondowe said, "The problems can be history once stakeholders such as government and the private sector strengthen commitment towards promotion of inclusive education."
Among others solutions Kondowe has told Timveni that authorities must consider putting more students with disabilities on bursaries.
However, the Association of Persons with Albinism Dedza chapter pointed out no stone is being left unturned to ensure children with albinism access quality education.
