GOVERNMENT WORRIES OVER POLLUTION IN CITIES

By Aamon Butao
Government has condemned disregard of environmental conservation measures by some city and township dwellers.
Minister of Forestry and Natural Resources Nancy Tembo was speaking to Timveni, against a background of increased cases of environmental pollution.
Tembo said it is extremely worrisome that lack of waste management like littering around has become the norm.
She urged the general public to be climate conscience and embrace mindset change about environmental conservation.
The Minister however warned Climate Change will hit the country hard if people will not take protection of the environment seriously.
