GOVT COMMITS TO ENDING TRAFFICKING IN PERSONS

Government says it is committed to ending trafficking in persons in the country.
The minister of homeland security Jean Sendeza said this during the launch of 90 days of Tigwirane manja awareness campaign.
The campaign which will be championed by the Global hope mobilization will involve different artists as influencers to disseminate information about trafficking in persons in all corners of the country.
Sendeza added that women and children are vulnerable to trafficking in persons and government through a special committee which has different stakeholders will make sure that all perpetrators of human trafficking are punished.
On his part executive director for Global hope mobilization Caleb Thole said that after the campaign the organization will continue doing the awareness and other activities to ensure that Malawians are protected from trafficking in persons.
