 GOVT DONATES AMBULANCE TO TENGANI HEALTH CENTER

In a bid to prevent child and maternal deaths in the area of Senior Chief Tengani in Nsanje district, the Ministry of Health has donated an ambulance to Tengani health centre.

Director of Health and Social Services at Nsanje District Health Office, Gilbert Chapweteka said, "The ambulance will help improve health service delivery at the facility." 

According to Chapweteka, Tengani Health centre, refers more cases of maternal and road accident cases to Nsanje district hospital hence need for good transport mode.

He has therefore advised the communities to take care of the vehicle by using it for its intended purpose.

Tengani Health Centre which was established in 1973, services a population of about 25,000 people.

Meanwhile, Member of Parliament for Nsanje Central constituency, Kafandikhale Mandevana, has commended the government for the gesture saying this will "ease the mobility challenges" at the facility.
