Government says it has prioritized youths in the housing project for the country’s security agencies.
Minister of Lands Kezzie Msukwa made the remarks when responding to questions in Lilongwe in Parliament.
The project will see construction of more than 10,000 houses across the country.
Msukwa was quick to state that youths have a big role to play in the MWK 600 Billion project.
"Young people have earned jobs in electrical installation, plumbing and building services among others," said Msukwa.
On the impact of the project, the Minister highlighted that once complete, Malawi will have gotten rid of its housing crisis men and women face.
Taking her turn, Nsanje Lalanje Member of Parliament Gladys Ganda tipped government to refrain from politicizing the project.
