The Chamber for Small and Medium Enterprises Association (SMEA) has praised government for its open door policy towards achieving 1 Million jobs campaign pledge.
SMEA President James Chiutsi confirmed government has approached small business operators on the matter.
In an interview with Timveni , Chiutsi said small and medium enterprises have a huge role to play to realize government’s dream.
"Government has strategized on capacity building and financing to assist SMEs in increasing productivity," said Chiutsi.
He further implored government to empower local markets and to settle domestic debt on time.
Speaking in Parliament last Friday, Minister of Finance Felix Mlusu said contrary to public opinion, government is still committed to create one million jobs.
