 HEALTH WORKERS URGED  TO BE VIGILANT  AS  MINISTER  FLIES NTCHEU  WOMAN TO  DUBAI

Minister of Health, Khumbize Kandodo Chiponda, has picked a health surveillance assistant Esther Kanyoza to accompany her to Dubai following her win in the Airtel Boola Mtambo Promotion.

Chiponda won the Grand Prize of the promotion which is a trip to Dubai with a person of her choice.

MWK3  Million for air tickets and accommodation while MWK 2 Million is for shopping.

Speaking during her departure over the weekend, Chiponda said she decided to go with Kanyoza, a health surveillance assistant from Dzunje in Ntcheu District, as one way of appreciating and recognizing the work that health surveillance assistants are doing in the country.

The Minister said health surveillance assistants in the country are sacrificing themselves a lot to provide health services amid the Covid-19 pandemic and Polio outbreak.

In her remarks, Kanyoza said she did not expect this after 16 years of service.

She has since encouraged other healrhcare workers to continue working hard so that they should reap the benefits in the future.
