The appeal comes against mounting public pressure on government over the matter.
Speaking to Timveni, HRCC Chairperson Robert Mkwezalamba has warned authorities "releasing inconclusive findings could prove costly for government" including attracting "unnecessary lawsuits."
However, Mkwezalamba "commended swift action oversight institutions" have taken since President Lazarus Chakwera ordered accountability in how the financial resources were spent.
Meanwhile, the fiscal police have arrested eleven officials from the department of disaster and management affairs including its deputy director Fyabupi Mwafongo in connection with the Covid-19 funds saga.
