JEB FOUNDATION CALLS FOR MORE SUPPORT TOWARDS NEEDY CHILDREN IN HOSPITALS

Jeb Education Foundation has called on Malawians to take the lead in helping the needy.

Managing Director for the Foundation, Edith Bwirani, has made the remarks over the weekend during the donation of assorted items such as soap, sugar and bread worth over MWK 400,000  at the children’s cancer ward at the Kamuzu Central Hospital.

According to Bwirani, they decided to donate to the hospital because most patients are referred there from rural and district hospitals therefore they have a lot of needs.

Bwirani said patients lack a lot of things therefore they need a lot of assistance.

She added that learners from her school contributed to support their fellow children who are diagnosed with cancer.

And in her remarks, one parent who escorted the children, Tabitha Phiri, said there is need to teach children on the need to help the needy.

One of the clinicians in the children’s cancer ward said the hospital was grateful for the donation and appealed to other well-wishers to emulate the gesture.
