SUICIDE CASES SPIKE IN FIRST QUARTER OF 2023, MEN MOST AFFECTED
JUSTICE BODIES LAUNCH COMPLAINTS HANDLING STRUCTURES

Three state funded institutions have established complaints handling structures to promote delivery of justice in Kasungu and Mzimba districts.
The Malawi Human Rights Commission, office of Ombudsman and Legal Aid Bureau say they embarked on the project following a rise in rights violation cases in the two districts.
Speaking to Timveni, MHRC Executive Secretary Habiba Osman praised the collaboration saying "human rights must always be safeguarded."
In his remarks, National Initiative for Civic Education(Nice) Trust coordinator for Mzimba, Kasungu and Mchinji districts Paul Kanyenda said, "The complaints handling platform will guarantee progress in the delivery of justice."
The 4 organizations conducted a training workshop for area civic educators on handling complaints received.
