KACHALE HAILS MEDIA

Chairperson of the Malawi Electoral Commission Justice Dr Chifundo Kachale has hailed the media for their role in the past two elections.

Dr Kachale made the remarks Tuesday when opening the National Conference with all media managers and relevant stakeholders to reflect and review how the media performed during the past two national elections.

Dr Kachale pointed out that the media helped in sensitizing the masses.

Dr Kachale urgedmedia managers to strive for provision of equal democratic space for all players.

According to Kachale, the media has been a crucial partner in elections and MEC is keen on bolstering such relationship.
