KALUMBU STUDENTS RECEIVE DONATIONS

With less than Five days remaining before standard eight pupils sit for the Primary School Leaving Certificate examinations, a twenty one year old girl has donated personal protective equipment to standard eight learners at Kalumbu in Lilongwe worthy over three hundred thousand kwacha.

Delipher Kalonde,a proffessional designer said she thought of making the donation as one way of protecting the pupils from covid-19 as they sit for the national examinations.

The materials include hand washing sanitizer, buckets and reusable masks.

Speaking after receiving the donation, Senior Inspector for Lilongwe rural east education division Esther Kapito Kandaya said that the ministry is overwhelmed with the donation from a young lady describing it a rare gesture.

In his remarks representative for Senior Chief Kalumbu Matthias Kabwalo urged some people in the area to emulate the good gesture.
