The Ministry of Agriculture has tasked the Agriculture Commercialization with the job to finish renovating Limphasa Irrigation Scheme by May this year.
The facility developed cracks a situation whichSecretary for the scheme Mercy Zimba said is "affecting more than 100 hectares of land."
Zimba also said yields have been poor due to the challenge.
Minister of Agriculture Lobin Lowe said, "Agriculture Commercialization, which aims at revamping the agricultural sector, will take charge of restoration process."
In his remarks National Coordinator for AGCOM Ted Nakhumwa assured the rice farmers that the renovations will also include maintenance of a road connecting Limphasa rice scheme.
