WATERAID WARNS OF INCREASING CASES OF CHOLERA ACROSS THE SADC REGION
MAN CAUGHT WITH FAKE BANK NOTES
Police in Dowa district have apprehended Emmanuel Chipokosa for allegedly being found in possession of fake bank notes amounting to Seventy-Two Thousand Kwacha.
According to Spokesperson for Dowa Police Station Gladson M’bumpha, the 25-year-old committed the offence last Friday at Dzaleka Refugee Camp in the district.
M’bumpha said the suspect went to an Airtel Money shop where he sent money Two Thousand Kwacha notes amounting to Twenty Thousand Kwacha to a relative in Lilongwe.
However, the Airtel Money shop attendant got suspicious about the authenticity of the cash and informed Police who rushed to the scene and arrested the suspect.
