MISMANAGEMENT OF EXAMINATION FEES BY AUTHORITIES ANNOYS EDUCATION ACTIVIST

Reported By Aamon Butao
Education Activist Benedicto Kondowe has expressed worry over the increase in cases of mismanagement of examination funds by school authorities.
The remarks have come after Timveni reported a story concerning a principal for Saint Kizito private secondary school in Ntandire Township in Lilongwe who is currently at large after collecting examination fees from over forty form four students.
According to Kondowe this is sad because the candidates will not sit for this year’s Malawi School Certificate Education examinations.
Kondowe further said government should intervene in such matters to ensure that the aggrieved students find themselves in the examination room when time for writing the exams comes, and also to address the malpractice.
