MoH RECORDS HIGH TURN OUT FOR POLIO VACCINE 2ND PHASE

Deputy Director for the Expanded Program on Immunization, Mike Chisema, has commended parents for managing to get their children vaccinated during the second phase of the Polio Vaccination Program.

Speaking to Timveni Online, Chisema said the work has progressed well with 100% of targeted children inoculated in the second phase.

Chisema, however, acknowledged some challenges including low turnout of people responsible for providing the vaccine door-to-door, huge workload and time limits.

Meanwhile, Chisema is appealing to Malawian parents to remember their responsibility of getting under-five children vaccinated.
