MoH ROLLS OUT CHOLERA VACCINATION CAMPAIGN IN BT

Residents of Blantyre have been challenged to intensify observance of all hygiene practices as a way of fighting Cholera at a time 1 million residents have been targeted for Cholera vaccination in the city.
Speaking to Timveni Online on the sidelines of the launch of the vaccination campaign, Blantyre District Director of Health, Dr Gift Kawalazira said there is need for collaborative efforts to deal with the disease.
He has since called upon all citizens to get vaccinate and report early when they experience signs and symptoms of Cholera.
Concurring with Kawalazira is World Health Organization Health Emergency Preparedness Officer, Dr Gertrude Chapotera, who says the organization is determined to complement government’s efforts of curbing the Cholera outbreak.
