 MPS PROBES GOVT ON RURAL GROWTH CENTERS

Government through the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development has disclosed that no new rural growth center has been constructed under the Tonse Alliance administration.

Deputy Minister of Local Government Halima Daudi has said this after the majority of members of parliament have been asking about rural growth centers in their areas.

The rural growth centers’ project package has hospitals, roads and markets among other things.

According to Daudi, currently the Tonse Alliance Government is completing all rural growth centers projects that were left unfinished by the DPP government.

She said government is aware of the importance of rural growth centers to the transformation of people’s livelihoods in the rural areas are transformed.

But Daudi was quick to say that despite concentrating on the unfinished projects, government is also working on other projects in the districts.
