The Malawi Revenue Authority (MRA) says despite the financial constraints rocking the country, it is still optimistic that it achieve its maximum target of revenue collection this year.
The statement has been made by MRA Commissioner General John Bizwick during a media interaction in Blantyre.
Bizwick said MRA has intensified and put in place all necessary measures for mazimizing tax revenue collection.
He, however, acknowledged some challenges such as continued tax evasion and late remittance of tax.
In an interview with Timveni Online Bizwick asked citizens to pay their taxes honestly.
