A health rights activist has warned that Malawi again finds itself on a dangerous path in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic due to relaxed approach to adherence to preventive measures.
In an interview with Timveni, George Jobe has tipped authorities to strictly enforce set guidelines.
According to Jobe, several factors have contributed to the laxity chief among them reduced infections and deaths.
Jobe condemned disregard to wearing a mask, social distancing and frequent hand washing with soap.
He said the recent trend is similar to the business as usual attitude experienced during festivities last December that came back to haunt the nation in January with record Covid-19 figures.
