NGO PLEDGES TO CONSTRUCT A SPECIAL HOSPITAL FOR THE CHILDREN

One Step Foundation says it intends to construct a hospital in the country solely for street connected children.
Executive Director of the organization, Moses Mwalabu, has told Timveni News Desk that street connected children feel neglected when it comes to accessing health care services.
He said it is unfortunate that the Ministry of Health has chosen to marginalize street connected children when providing its services.
He said most of the times the children are chased away from some public hospitals whenever they seek medical assistance.
Therefore, Mwalabu, a former street child himself, has indicated that the proposed hospital will help to address the challenges that street connected children face when accessing healthcare services.
