NGOCCR BEAMONS LOW BUDGET ALLOCATION TOWARDS CHILD PROTECTION

NGO- Coalition on Child Rights has bemoaned low budget allocation towards child protection in the 2020/2021 financial year.

This was disclosed during an engagement meeting with members of parliamentary committee on social and community affairs aimed at scrutinizing allocations towards child development.

Speaking to Timveni News Desk on the sidelines of the meeting, chairperson for NGO-CCR, Desmond Mhango said the allocation has gone down from K525 Million in the 2019/2020 national budget to K505 Million  in the current budget.
