Parliament has tightened COVID-19 measures which include requirement of Members of Parliament to get vaccinated.
Speaker Catherine Gotani Hara disclosed this on Thursday in Parliament following a meeting of the Business Committee which also settled for wearing of masks to be made mandatory in Parliament.
According to Gotani Hara, all Lawmakers and the general public will be asked to produce a COVID vaccine certificate when entering the Parliament Building.
"All MPs are supposed to submit vaccination certificates to the Speaker's office by this Friday, failing which they will not be allowed to attend Parliamentary deliberations," said Hara.
Parliament has so far lost nine MPs to COVID-19.
Currently, Parliament has registered one case of Corona virus.
